Dear Honorable Allan G. Bense, Speaker:

I am writing to ask you to assert your influence on the Members of the House

Health Care Regulation Committee to vote NO on HB 695, which will be heard on

Wednesday, April 13, 2005. I am opposed to HB 695 for the following reasons:

1. If passed, this bill will create a monopoly controlled by one collective

group: the Florida Naturopathic Physicians Association (FNPA) and its

associated organizations, the Council of Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME)

and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP).

2. The industry of Naturopathic Medicine is presently divided on many issues

which must be settled prior to enacting any bill into law.

3. The Florida Association of Naturopathic Medicine (FANM) has attempted in

good faith to resolve these issues, but the FNPA has refused to sit down and

address these concerns in a spirit of fairness.

4. I believe that any legislation must be equitable to all the parties

concerned as this is what is best for the health and well being of Florida's

public. There are issues within this bill that if passed will be detrimental to

the safety of the Citizens of Florida.

Therefore, please assert your influence to DEFEAT HB 695. Thank you.
