Guest guest
Hi Everyone! We have two new members to welcome today, and Elaine, and I have been corresponding with a " possible " third on my private e-mail who " is considering joining " . (In the mean time he is asking me questions about my EN which is remarkably like his--only in one leg). We have been swealtering here in Southern California, and we are following AHHHnold Schwarzenegger's race to become our Gov. Everything is heating up. We have over 200 people on the ballot now, but lucky for Arnold, his name is longer than most so it will stick out even though they scrambled the alphabetical order. As you may know Steve and I are " est graduates " . The est training is no longer available, but I would like to share the purpose of the est training: " to transform your ability to experience living so that the situations you have been trying to change or have been putting up with clear up just in the process of life itself " . Now they take hours to discuss this purpose during the est training, and it would be impossible to do it here, but I hope you will let the est purpose sink in by reading it again. We are all trying to change or have been putting up with our EN flare-ups. Transformation, it would seem would be the key to getting beyond that. That is the way I have tried to live. Yes, I have EN, but it doesn't have me. I have rarely missed doing what I want to due to EN, and I take care of myself so that EN and I live at peace together. I think of it as a symbiotic relationship. We benefit each other in that it keeps me ever vigilent. What I do for it is give it a place to go dormant and rest. Do you think the " heat has got me? " Could be, but I would like everyone to think about this. My life works in spite of EN, and maybe if one stops the struggle, loves oneself and respects the agreed upon limitations EN brings us, we can have a better life inspite of it. In the meantime, let's look at ways to encourage remission and keep those flare-up's brief. Love,
Guest guest
Dear Group, Thanks for the link, . I added it to our Drug Resources Links. Liz, sounds like those snowboard socks are a winner for you! At least you met a nice guy! Do the socks compress the legs or just keep them warm? I have read lots of good things about honey, but also that it is as bad as regular sugar in calorie content and if you are a diabetic be careful with it. I guess as with many things moderation is key. Let us know how it works for you, ok? Good luck with the doctor's appt., Vicki! I would not be surprised if they discover something in the bowel that when addressed will lead to putting your EN into remission. Even with Crohn's you can go into remission ;-) Hope Everyone has a Happy Day! Love,
