Guest guest
Thank you! I too have a laundry list of medical problems. I have been fighting a nasty bladder/kidney infection. I don't know if what I'm experiencing is due to the Nuvigil, Baclofen, or high doses of antibiotic. Now I'm supposed to start Valtrex to eradicate ME. Reply to I'm new to Baclofen. What are reasons people shouldn't take it? From Medco: Baclofen can cause impaired thinking or reactions balance problems due to reduced muscle tone sleepiness It should not be used by people with impaired kidney function people who are taking antidepressants I have fibro " brain fog " and don't need further cognitive impairment. My balance has improved with physical therapy, and I don't want to take a drug that can possibly impair my balance again. The drug I take for RLS causes mild daytime sleepiness, and I don't want to add to that.
Guest guest
I started taking Baclofen about 18 months ago when my Gabapentin started being not as effective as it had been. Thankfully it works well for me. I still take Gabapentin, for which I have blood tests done to check my liver ok with it, along with many other meds. I always say it's just as well i walk slowly with an elbow crutch or otherwise I'd rattle lol Regards Helen
