Guest guest
What is ME ???? the reason why I ask is you said something about scabbing scalp and every month near the end of the month I get like pippules in my head and they end up having scabs on them,I,m not sure what it is ..I'm new to this group and I'm from Canada nice to meet all of you From: CFAlliance [mailto:CFAlliance ] On Behalf Of allison reyne Sent: Saturday, September 10, 2011 7:21 AM To: CFAlliance Subject: scabbing scalp sores yes I have read that scabbing scalp sores are a symptom of ME; not sure where - it was in a medical book about ME but have forgotten the details now sorry; that is all it said - that scabbing scalp wounds were a symptom of ME, no explanation as to why. I get them too just in one place on my head and intermittently. Another unusual symptom of ME was a rash on the upper arms like " permanent goose bumps " and I had had that for years and wondered what it was - though it comes and goes periodically. Guest guest
Do I sympathize. I'm in the same boat. I have been to many dermatologists and they can't even tell me what it is. It's bad enough to have this miserable illness but this just tops it off. I finally got a wig, wearing it took courage, not wearing even more. This illness shows no mercy. Guest guest
You two have nothing to lose-- if you have not already, why not try applying olive oil on a few of the scabs to see if that would help. I use it for splits in my fingers (only thing that healed my hands) and as a hair conditioner-- it does not clog the pores. I am sensitive/allergic to most meds, use olive oil on a cotton ball the few times I have had ear pain. I am in my 60s, almost bald so I have been wearing a wig for 12 years. I comb just a skimpy amount of olive oil in my hair, it does not get into/ build up in the wig. ....Corky wow didn't no so many people have this scalp problems i do consider getting a wif but i cant afford one netty In a message dated 9/17/2011 9:39:00 A.M. Guest guest
I just started using vinegar and it seems to be working but just like anything with M.E., it seems to be working. It does leave my hair soft and shinny but I smell like a pickle..LOL In a message dated 9/21/2011 12:59:13 P.M. Guest guest
I've tried everything and had no luck. I hope the tea tree works for you, you'll have to let me know how it works for you. It's very frustrating and I'm very self conscience about it. I bought a Wig so now I feel like everyone knows it's a Wig. Crazy In a message dated 9/23/2011 5:18:17 P.M.
