HI All

I am 41, have had hashimoto's for 12 years now. For most of it have

been on synthroid only, for 2 years was on both synthroid and

cytomel. The cytomel eventually caused bad reactions for me so I

dropped it and have not been able to fully medicate with synthroid.

Because of the bad reaction to T3, I am really reluctant to change

to Armour. But, my ob is recommending it because I am perfectly

healthy with great habits and on a routine bone density scan they

found significant bone loss in my hips. She is completely puzzeled

by this finding. This may turn out to be unrelated, but I wonder.

So have some questions:

1. Anyone experience panic and palpitations on cytomel but not

Armour?

2. Anyone experience panic on synthroid but not Armour?

3. Again, can some one refresh my memory about bone loss and thyroid.

I am slightly hypothyroid right now, and am happy that way. At my

current levels I am panic free and symptom free except my hair is

slightly thinner, I eat much less, and now this bone thing. But, at

least I'm functioning in every other capacity. Your thoughts are

appreciated.

Sherry
