I'm sure this is a very good tool for many reasons. But, if one doesn't have an

ipad then it cannot be utilized, isn't that right?

Of course you can't use an ipad app without an ipad. Are you saying that you

want them to develop the program to run on PCs? If so, email the company and

tell them. It might make a difference.

Otherwise, I don't understand the reason for your post. Much of what is posted

on here is not helpful to everyone but is posted because it might help

*someone*. New treatments, tests and meds are often available only in limited

areas at first but are posted so that we know about them, right?

iPads will come down in price over time just like other gadgets. I don't have

one now but I hope to have one within the next year so I am glad to know about

the app.

I think affording the latest electronics is difficult for people who are

disabled and have very limited or no income.

Being that this is a sharing forum, it seems we can all share without being

scolded, etc.

Most of us feel like crap because of what these diseases steal from us daily. I

can't imagine meeting someone saddled with this that didn't have a cantankerous

day here, there or everywhere.

Many of us are overly sensitive because we are sick of being sick.

With that said, maybe we can tame our sometimes instant need to scold, bemoan or

be abrupt or assuming.

Errrr, ummmm, Lori? I'm afraid I'm confused by your post too. I wasn't trying

to " scold " , I simply didn't understand what the point of her post was

since it only stated the obvious - you can't use an iPad app if you don't have

an iPad - and I didn't get it.

I attempted to be helpful, which is the point of the group, by suggesting that

she email the company if she wanted the software to be available on PC's. Id a

number of members did so, pointing out at you did that many of us can't afford

the latest gadgets, the company might listen. On the other hand, if she was

objecting to the original post, I defended that person since many of the posts

on the forum are helpful to only a small number of members. I thought I did so

in an easy-going manner but I guess it didn't come across that way. Finally I

said that I hope to get an iPad in the next year or so, assuming prices will

drop, and was glad of the original post.

I'm sorry if you misunderstood me. I responded to a couple of other posts at

the same time about travel and adjusting to having one of these diseases and I

think that both of those posts demonstrate that I was only trying to be helpful,

not to " scold, bemoan, be abrupt or assuming. " Almost always, that is the

reason for my posting as it is for my being a member in the first place - to

help. I can only remember one time that I jumped on here to smack someone about

the head and shoulders and he deserved it most heartily by stating that those of

us who take pain meds are " weak minded " . I wasn't the only one to lose my

temper on that one!

It is easy to misconstrue things on these forums because we can't see faces or

hear tone of voice. I really didn't mean to upset you or or anyone else.

I am sorry that my post did so.

Thank you Lori. I agree. And since this happened to be about my particular

question, I appreciate your support.

And, Margie and anyone who misunderstood me,

I had not asked because I meant to be quarrelsome, but because I was indeed

thinking that I wasnt sure how many that app would reach, but thought maybe *I*

missed something.

I certainly can't use the app and many people I know with fms/cfs would not be

able to either.

And yes some probably will.

Of course it is useful for *someone*-I was just trying to think of how it could

be utilized and, it's true--I don't know that this app is that useful (yet) in

reaching or helping many people at this point in time.

Since it honestly didnt make sense to me, I wasn't lodging a complaint so much

as trying to figure it out.

Speaking for myself I dont have an ipad now. nor will I be likely to get one

anytime soon.

Thanks again Lori.

Most Apple Apps work on the iPhone and iPod touch too. It doesn't seem like

the Fibromyalgia app works on anything except ipad.

An android version would be nice.
