, sounds like you lungs are having a hard time rebounding from the asthma episode in April. Give it a few more weeks, IF it's still like this, I'd go back to your dr and have everything reevaluated. maybe a change will do the trick. Try to hang in there

The problem I am having is that the Asmanex was working so well for mefor about 2 yrs, minus maybe a few flare ups at the change of seasons,or during a cold. I went from using my inhaler a few times a weekbefore the Asmanex to almost never, maybe 1x a month if that. And nowafter my last flare up in March/April, and after all the reflux drama,I feel like the Asmanex isn't working as well anymore. I can go somedays without my inhaler at all and other days I need it 2-3x. Thanks, sounds like reasonable advice. I have a check up with my

pulmonologist in about a month. I will try to wait it out but can move

it up if I need to. I think my lungs are definitely weak now, I just

also finished a z pack for a minor chest infection. Maybe an option

for me is to try another brand of single steroid before trying one of

the combo meds. It seems like the single steroids all use a different

kind of med to control inflammation so if the Asmanex has stopped

working, another one might.

Yeah, mine is getting worse, I finally broke down and am taking the darn prednisone. I've been up all night I'm almost positive I've got a sinus infection, instead of messing with the oral surgeon I called my ENT, she needs to be aware of the hole in my sinus from the extraction of the left upper wisdom tooth. My chest feels so heavy, my voice is very horse. I took a shower hoping to get it to open up my chest, so far no luck

Terry, at this point it does sound like you probably needed to start

the prednisone. I hope it works fast for you!

Yeah me too! I called my ENT due to the hole inthe sinus due to the tooth extraction, the root was in the sinus an when they pulled it out the membrane ruptured, I'm wondering if this isn't what the infection is about, my chest is so heavy this am. I'm soo tired. I feel so guilty having my son sub for me today, but I'm trying to make sure the parents have coverage and he likes to earn the extra money. He knows their routine so well I know those little ones are in excellent hands. I hope he's able to become a dad someday!

Asmanex won't work unless you take it daily. It isn't a rescue

inhaler, it's a steroid and takes awhile to work. If you only take

it sometimes, it doesn't have any chance of making a difference.

I know, I take it once daily, and twice a day when I have a cold or

allergies or a flare up.
