Guest guest
Interesting about the nicotine, . I stopped smoking over 4 yrs ago, and it seemed like a lot of my health issues STARTED then! Although, I could obviously breath better (but it got worse before it got better), I gained weight and started experiencing digestive troubles (a basket diagnosis of IBS). I then got aa fibro-like, chronic fatigue illness. A while later the Panniculitis(lumps and bumps) developed. I wonder if the nicotine in some way suppressed it for all those years? One of my doctors believes that all auto-immune diseases are related and are a result of inflammation in the body. But she also thinks that the genetic seed must be there, then the diseases are triggered by a virus/bacteria/trauma, etc. Stopping smoking is certainly traumatic!!! In my case, I know the fibro is just part of Panniculitis which is a manifestation of inflammation. I shudder to think that nicotine could help. I hope just this one time, you're wrong, ! LOL! Did/does anyone else smoke? Did anyone get EN after stopping? Lynn > Dear All, > Subjectively I feel the swollen ankles are edema from fluid and > lymph.
