I just got off the phone with the Special Ed Director and she informed me that

not only will the entire school Tristan will be attending next year be receiving

autism training for a full day, the school he is attending now will attend for

half a day of that training session. She said they want to be kept up to date

on autism. Tristan is the first child with moderate to severe autism the

elementary has had so they say. He will have his " own " TA which he has had but

for the past two years more than one person served that position. We have asked

for Tristan to be involved with Special Olympics. He has no interest in typical

sports but has a propensity for gymnastics and they have repeatedly said they

don't have to provide gymnastics training in school. Whose child is in Special

Olympics and what do you know about this event being part of it?
