Guest guest
Below is information on a good attorney if the CPS ever comes into your life. I suggest all go to his website and copy contact information for future reference. A good source has told me that the Dunn case in Oregan is not over. I can't discuss the particular in that case but will share something that is of importance to us all. She was told by the OHSU and CPS that if she attempted to get ANY gastrointestinal testing on her son and/or if she put him on the GFCF diet she would be charged with child abuse and lose her son. She is in need of donations for her legal representation and she is being advised to get another lawyer. There are few lawyers who will adequately represent clients in these matters, but they always take their money, and lots of it. Attorney Stuckle (Texas) wrote an eye opening paper that is on his website, link below. It appears in Texas that a good percentage of children removed are those with disabilities. Many are learning disabled and parents are blamed and lose their kids. Many disabled children are removed so that the state can put them on drugs as Carol Strayhorn brought out in her investigation. She found 2 thirds of children in foster care are on as many as 5 psychotropic drugs, some as young as 3. At a hearing for Child Protection Reform in February the Committee hearing testimony was angered when they discovered the CPS had lied in regards to how they handle cases. Parents, attorneys and advocates testimony was categorically denied by CPS, but when documentation was introduced the Vice Chair angrily told the head of CPS that based on their at risk criteria he could lose his kids, as could any parent in Texas. Unless more of us unite with the Family Preservation groups and advocate for a sane policy in child protection the Senator is correct that we are all vulnerable. http://www.paulstuckle.com/illproc.aspx " ILLEGAL PROCEDURE " COPYRIGHT © 2004 PAUL G.
