Guest guest
This responsibility is handled by the social worker(s) in our kidney, pancreas, and liver transplant programs. Thanks, Arlene >>> jbucche@... 7/26/04 2:15:10 PM >>> I am trying to make a case that patient assistance programs are facilitated by social workers. Guest guest
I am the social worker at and White Transplant Ctr in Temple, TX and I am in charge of the patient assistance programs. Thankfully our center has a medication management dept that completes all the refills and all I have to do is start the programs. We have an internally made program to keep track of programs and renewal dates but the dept is now looking at a program called MD Cares that is constantly updated of new applications, etc and they state they can also set it up to where they do all the renewals. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Our pre-transplant coordinators do the work if the newly referred patient needs a PAP; post-transplant, the social workers handle it. -----Original Message-----From: anne Buccheri Sent: Monday, July 26, 2004 11:15 AMTo: TxFinancialCoordinators Subject: Assistance ProgramsI am trying to make a case that patient assistance programs arefacilitated by social workers. Guest guest
Our Social Workers have maintained our patient assistance program in the past, but we have a designated staff memember that handles the program now. She works with the coordinators & the social workers when necessary re: the updates & new enrollments. If you have a large program it can turn into a full time job.
