Guest guest
PERMISSION TO FORWARD AND RE POST ANYWHERE Any similar problems with Lyme's patients? Any ideas? This question is about a Lyme disease sufferer in the UK, where we have a National Health Service (Ha! Noooohhhhooooootttt!) but some of the issues will apply wherever in the world you live. This person is having problems with obtaining medication prescribed from a private hospital as their GP has refused to write any more prescriptions despite starting them on it a month ago. The patient even got a letter from the head pharmacist of the local PCT questioning if chronic lymes exists and is just another attempt to categorise unexplained symptoms. Its all been very stressful and has also left the patient in limbo with regards to their treatment. They thought that 2 x positive lymes tests would be enough for them to obtain the treatment protocol they need but its seems that the policy is that it is not cost effect for the PCT. Anyone similarly treated and anyone got any ideas? Cheers drjohngreensmith@... ME FREE FOR ALL.org
