Guest guest
Well, I got on the computer and check email. Did some posting to the groups. Dean was on the roof,he is redoing shingles on the roof, It is about time. LOL 20 years since we have put on new shingles. It is a must do, for insurance. As I was sitting there typing away on the computer I heard thunder. Opps not a good sound when your husband is on the roof of house. I still hear him walking around, nail gun going and I am thinking to myself,is he lighting proof??? LOL. Soon he is down because it is raining. He says to me, I need to go to Lowe's and Sutherlands here in town and check out getting a new flue for the fireplace. Okie doke, I told him I wanted to go with him as I needed to get paint for the bathroom I am doing. So far we have replaced the sink, and I re-did the sink cabinet. I need paint for the walls. I am doing it in Azure-granite type paint. Should look like a summer vacation in there when I am finished. I am using maple type accents in there. Stool lid is Maple, handles on the sink are maple. Towel racks will be Maple with hooks for towels. And I found maple flooring for the bathroom at a good price. I am doing it myself. I didn't put in the sink that was Dean's job. But the rest is mine to do. I got my paint. Yippee they had just what I wanted. It is n paint and is very nice. Accents will be done in wood and oat colors. You will like it when I get done. I will post a before and after pic in the album. Plan to up in alot of plants that don't need alot of sunlight. But then again I am thinking of putting in some lighting that simulates natural sunlight so that might be a good idea. I am always thinking of something. I had to come home to take a nap because it tired me out going to all the home improvement stores. LOL We didn't eat the tradional New Year's day foods. We decided to stop smoking so we bought the smoke away that is advertisted on TV. Dean started his this morning. And I start mine tonight. I wanted him to go first as he is the more potent smoker in this house. He smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day. He was sitting there this morning taking his meds. And I come out of the bedroom with my cigarettes in hand. I see what he is doing. I ran and hide my cigarettes and tell him that I will start this evening. He looks at me and says Chicken. LOL I just don't want to have any cigarettes in the house when I start. If I have any left when I take the meds tonight then I am going to shred them into the trash. Make it a big thing!! We also joined the National Health Challenge on Discovery.com. You get 3 free months at Bally's fitness and a diet and excersize program. So this is the year that we get fit!! Of course alot of you know that I have had some health challenges this past year. And I was a non-responder to the treatment I was taking. It will be a couple of years before I can re-do treatment so I am going to get as physical fit as I can before treatment. Get some weight off, tone up some muscles. And get into a reg.excersize treatment. And stop smoking!! That is number one on my list!! I know I will benefit from all of it. But the smoking is my number one on the hit list for 2004. I know that some of you are going to say, Janet smokes??? Yeah nasty habit, but I can't drink alcohol due to the Hep C and it ain't good for you anyway. Can't dance the boog a loo as I never could in the first place. Don't do drugs, again bad for the liver!! Don't hang out in Malls too old. Would look funny with all the teenagers. LOL So I guess my new habit is getting healthy and staying that way. And keeping you all in my prayers!! Love to All, Janet
