Hi Everyone,Thought I'd share this link to a nice article written by Crow, LAc, a while back. is the founder of Floracopeia, one of the most wonderful companies from which to learn about and obtain essential oils and other aromatic treasures. He's a super guy, too, and author of the book, In Search of the Medicine Buddha. This particular article caught my attention for the way it suggests that essential oils can be employed in a deep way toward our patients' Healing. Most of us don't learn much about this art in our schooling here in the West, and yet such practices are integral to many Eastern Healing traditions.Of particular note is how the article suggests a resonance with our ultimate therapeutic aim: restoration of balance and physiological, emotional, and spiritual harmony, rather than just the treatment of 'disease.' Too, essential oils promise useful palliative options, such as topical application of helichrysum and rose hip seed oil in the treatment of eczema and other skin disorders. It's interesting to ponder how these oils might be used to balance organs, chakras, and autonomic nerve plexuses over time, as well as to harmonize the nerve-sense, metabolic, and rhythmic systems in the body-mind.Well, it's yet another lifetime of study...!The link:http://www.floracopeia.com/content/articles/essential-oils-and-the-fifteen-sub-doshasIf you feel moved to explore, may you enjoy,Mark Bricca, NDPortland, ORCancer Care, Chronic Disease
