Guest guest
Hello , A suggestion: Perhaps, until as much as possible can be done about the work space, your patient could show her intention to do what she can for herself by wearing a charcoal mask (not the industrial kind) while she's as work. I've had years of experience with them myself and know that they're both very effective and incredibly humbling (and make a strong point to disbelievers). If you've ever seen one on, you know that no one would wear one if they didn't have to :-) I've just been online to see where she might purchase them these days, and a good site (with pictures) seems to be http://www.ncchem.com/mask.htm I hope this helps- Shadburne Medical Intuitive/ Bio-energy healer Portland, OR. http://www.shadburne.com
Guest guest
I have an 11 year old male patient who was diagnosed with diabetes type I at the beginning of November. He still has some pancreatic function remaining, but the doctors are waiting for that to 'burn itself out' so they can regulate his insulin easier. I have 2 questions: 1) First does anyone have any input on stopping or reversing the beta cell damage. He has about 2 more months to save the remainder of his pancreas. 2) Second, what type of carbohydrate load do you recommend. The nutritionist, that his endocrinologist wants him to follow, has recommended 75 grams of carbs per meal. Ugh! Seems like a huge amount for an insulin challenged individual. Since we are attempting to better regulate his insulin he needs to be, not only following the anti-inflam diet, but also tracking his carbo intake. Any suggestions?
