Those Little Black Box Messages

Some of the drugs prescribed by doctors now carry with them what are called

black box messages, black label warnings or boxed warnings. These messages

alert pharmacists and the physicians against prescribing certain drugs to

specific patients based on medical studies that indicate that certain drugs

carry a significant risk of serious or even life-threatening adverse effects to

patients with specific medical conditions.
