Guest guest
I watched the video and laughed quite a bit. That's some smart cat you 've got there. She's obviously watched humans go in and out a lot and she's figured out that it's all about the handle. :-) I also noticed that at one point she does a quick inspection of both sides of the door as if she's looking for an overlooked button or latch that needs to be tapped first before pulling on the handle. :-) Raven > > shocking evidence. Guest guest
Animals can be clever, particularly if they are after food. I once owned a dog who figured out what door knobs were for and how they worked. The only reason she couldn't get through most interior doors was because they were round and it was hard to get a grip on for her. Well that and I locked some of the doors particularly when I was out of the house. One of the raccoons figured out how the latch on the back door worked. A number of times I watched her sit on the railing and pull on the handle. The door wouldn't open because a button also had to be pushed to move the catch. She seemed to know the button meant something because she was paw at it, but couldn't both push and pull at the same time. Then there was the eyehook on the inside of the door which she couldn't get at anyway. Unfortunately I think that one died during one of the major storms that hit here a couple of months ago.
