Guest guest
I had my 30+ year-old Mercury dental fillings taken out and replaced three years ago by a dentist that took no precautions to assure I was safe. I even had to ask for a dental dam. Since then I've been sicker. I'm in the US. May I raise the question of mercury fillings again, which comes up from time to time, not only for people with M.E. If you do have them, the question really is whether you should have them removed or leave well alone. Some people say that stirring up the mercury while replacing them may do more harm than leaving them in situ. One of our members has raised the question again and I have said that my view is that expressed on a dental site http://www.grantadental.co.uk/removing-mercury-fillings/ that you shouldn't replace these fillings unless there's clear clinical evidence that they're either broken or leaking. What does everyone else think?
Guest guest
Dr . I'm not sure on this exactly, but have wanted to get my amalgams out for many years. When I first got them in age 20, was when my entire CFS cascade started. Im not sure if it was related or not, but I remember my digestive problems getting worse around a month after I got them in. Had severe CFS ever since, worse than many. Been told by various people that I should definitely get them out. But have also heard from people who've gotten worse by getting them out too, so am not sure. Something that's happened to me.. I've been grinding my teeth for some reason for the last 1-2years, especially on the back right side, as there is some sort of click there which makes it a habit. I noticed about 6 months ago, that my very back bottom molar has a HUGE gaping hole in it. I looked closely and I have GROUND DOWN one of my amalgams!! Likely swallowed all of it over the last year or so. That CANNOT be good. Im sure getting them out with a very qualified holistic dentist has to have been better than that, right? I figured getting them out may worsen the condition for a short time, but isn't it better to do that then do proper chelation to really rid the body & brain of mercury? ~Chris. > > PERMISSION TO FORWARD & RE-POST, ANY FORUM, FACEBOOK AND NEWSLETTERS. > > May I raise the question of mercury fillings again, which comes up from > time to time, not only for people with M.E. > > If you do have them, the question really is whether you should have them > removed or leave well alone. Guest guest
I am totally and utterly convinced that mercury is the CAUSE of CF/ME. No way should we have this deadly toxin in our mouths so near to our brains!!!!! Barbie
Guest guest
Google Dr. Huggins. He was the pioneer back in the 70`s who started the new approach to dentistry and realized amalgum caused illnesses. I had a biological dentist (Huggins trained) remove all mine. Mine were 20-30 yrs old. Most were broken down , some were embeded into the bone and gums. It was a mess. Problem was I thought I would get better after removal. How disappointing that was. Nobody told me that was just the first step. Now I have to begin chelation. I have been looking into various methods and to tell you the truth they sure don`t look like fun. I have been reading up and find that it can take up to 3 years of low dose chelation , which will probably be the route I will go. So to those of you that think removing amalgums may be the answer. You may be right but its not instantanious. nne
Guest guest
I went to a dishonest dentist until I was about 16 and he filled teeth that most likely did not even need a filling. He was a gambling addict. When I was ten I developed thyroid inflammation. The pediatrician could not understand why. I think that having nine of these mercury fillings is what set off the thyroid illness ( I now have Hashimoto's Disease) A few years ago I was determined to get them out. I only have one larger one and a small one left. I did feel worse for about three months after doing it, but feel no worse now. It did not cure my illness (Fibro, and CFS), but since the fillings were there for over twenty years I guess the nervous system damage was done. I do feel better about not having toxic stuff so close to my brain. I have enough memory problems already! > > I am totally and utterly convinced that mercury is the CAUSE of CF/ME. Guest guest
Barbie, I was too---and had all of my mercury fillings taken out (dentist also used the dam) about 15 years ago.... All fillings were replaced with crowns. Big job--big expense. It did NOT help my CF/FMS at all.... Guest guest
Roseanne, I, too followed up with chelation therapy---about two years worth. Still did not help my CFS/FMS. Guest guest
" Huggins " trained dentists believe all root canaled teeth are just as bad if not worse than amalgum. Read up my friends. Their is so much bacteria in there causing many various disease as well. nne~ Subject: Re: Mercury fillings To: CFAlliance Date: Sunday, July 17, 2011, 1:04 PM Barbie, I was too---and had all of my mercury fillings taken out (dentist also used the dam) about 15 years ago....
