Interesting article. The threat of unreinforced masonry buildings. We were lucky here that that quake that hit Virginia wasn't closer to this area or Richmond. One happened here in the late 1700's that knocked houses off their foundations. The city is far larger now with lots of masonry buildings. It could have been pretty bad.
