Guest guest
I had the exact same experience. I responded only weakly to less than half of the strains. It was only last year, so I'm not sure how long the immunities will last. I thought it was very interesting that my immune system was LESS responsive than expected, since I had always thought my CFS was causing my immune system to overreact. Plus, the initial response is not crried through the way it is in normal people. It is shut down earlier, or converted into an IgE )allergic type) response instead of staying as IgG in the memory cells. The IgE response is not very efficient at handling living pathogens, but does produce a lot of inflammation, also typical of pwCFS.
