Couple in Miami brings a funny slap of reality to the face of dysfunction with

the launch of debut book at Books and Books in Coral Gables

Miami, FL - July 27, 2009 – CoupleDumb (coupledumb.com), a daily blog about

relationships, has a newly released book, Dysaffirmations: Because this kind of

stupid takes work! (ISBN: 978-1442118256) The book debuts on August 1, 2009 at

Books and Books in Coral Gables with a launch party and signing starting at 7:00

pm.

The book is full of wrong thinking aspirations like " Happiness, like magic, is a

lie we tell our children " and " Today I will dull the pain with carbohydrates " .

It also comes with a misery worksheet so that the owner can set their sadness

goals, such that they are not diverted from their commitment to dysfunction. The

typical reaction to this tongue in cheek reality check is laughter with the

intermittent pause as the reader realizes that they say this Dysaffirmation to

them self all of the time.

Dysaffirmation; dysfunctional affirmations for people who are truly committed to

their chaotic lifestyle. After more than 20 years as a therapist,

would hear clients spout their unhealthy beliefs on a day-to-day basis. From

crack addicts to sexual predators to housewives with ennui, they all clung to

their mantras of dysfunction, saying them over and over as if trying to make
