Guest guest
Jen - I bought mine from Ellen's Essentials (along with the Labcolours dyes) and the copy accompanying the Polys *sounds* like the way you write, so I *think* these are your Polys. I really love the stuff and I'm going to do more experimenting this week (or, until I receive the other stuff you're sending!). I'm really excited about this stuff! Question - does anyone know where I can buy tubes with screw caps for gels? I'm thinking like the kind that hair styling gel is sold in. One more question - Jen, are there any vendors for the Labcolours dyes in gel form? Dorothy labcolours wrote: > I brought these out on the market 2 years ago. No. You'll need more accuracy to make a safe product. Maurice ------------------------ Maurice O. Guest guest
If you want to check the ph, you'll need to buy a decent ph metre I should think. Otherwise I guess you could have it tested at a lab. I can't speak for Jen, I probably shouldn't have posted my tweaked version of her recipe. I actually found her recipe worked fine for me and only worked out the metric amounts for convenience. Good luck with it. CS Re: Polyem & polygel questions I am sure that Jen won't mind me posting this recipe. It is a tinkered version of hers. BODY YOGURT 500g h20 3g poly gel .25 g poly em 15 g cocoabutter 113 g oils of choice (I used avacado, macadamia and apricot kernel) 1.8 g phenonip 3.25 g TEA sprinkle poly gel and poly em on distilled h20 melt cocoa butter add oils of choice to cocoabutter and reheat to warm. mix water and carbopol(polyem and gel) (I used cuisenart with dough blade, worked ok) add colour and fragrance and phenonip and mix well. add TEA. Mix. (I had to put it in a bowl as the dough blade wasn't mixing all the stuff) This got just like yogurt. Its quite wiggly and cool. I quite like the texture and anyone who's tried it has loved it. I scented it with cucumber FO and coloured it a very pale green. It is wonderful to apply after a shower! Sutton >>>>
Guest guest
I think what you're looking for are called " Malibu Tubes " . At least I've seen them marketed as such. The Buying Group sells them I believe. Guest guest
I think to test for ph you'd need to buy a decent ph meter or possibly have a lab test done. I probably shouldn't have posted my version of Jen's body yogurt. Jen's recipe worked fine for me, I re worked it into metric for convenience actually.
