Guest guest
I freeze my cream all the time. It is not as smooth when I thaw it out, but I use it in smoothies in the blender anyway so it doesn't matter. I have heard conflicting things about freezing milk. Some say that it is difficult to get the milk and cream to blend once it thaws again, and then some say it works just fine for them. With both, there is no nutritional (or bacterial) difference at all, which is a good thing. gotmagoatz@... wrote: I'm curious about freezing raw milk/cream.......... Any sites that tell how to do it?? Any downsides that you all know of? I want to be able to buy a lot maybe once a week/month from and store it. Where I'm going to be getting my milk (cow and goat) is almost 3 hours away from me and I want to have enough between trips. : ) Thanks!!!!!!!! Guest guest
Hey, you are from Louisiana? I am from New Orleans! What city do you live in? I have no luck to find any raw milk here in New Orleans. I am not surprised if you live in like southwest of Louisiana. > I'm curious about freezing raw milk/cream.......... > > Any sites that tell how to do it?? > Any downsides that you all know of? > > I want to be able to buy a lot maybe once a week/month from and store it. > Where I'm going to be getting my milk (cow and goat) is almost 3 hours away from > me and I want to have enough between trips. : ) > > Thanks!!!!!!!! > Jen in Louisiana
Guest guest
Hi! Yep, I live in linton, LA. : ) The milk I found is FAAAAAARRRRR though. : ( About a 3 hour drive one way! It's so not far! There are TONS of dairies here and in Folsom/Covington...everyone I asked said nope, we can't sell it raw. : ( I'm slowly getting to know a few local cow people......... so we'll see where that goes. : ) Take care, Jen
Guest guest
Yeah, it is not easy to find raw dairy here in Louisiana since it is not allowed to sell. I have looked for goat milk but no luck. I am thinking about to look for local cow farm around here if there is any to see if they can sell raw milk personally. If so, I will let you know. Is the one you get from Mississippi?
