Guest guest
I would like to connect with anyone who has had a negative reaction after having a dilation at the eye doctors. My response to the dilation was (not surprisingly), a normal one. It took a week for the symptoms to calm down, I became immediately light sensitive and now have to wear sunglasses to look at a computer screen. Although I have always resisted any applications to my eyes and dilation in the past, I felt it important since developing diabetes to have one done. I also started a medication for my stomach Pantoprazole and had a rare allergic reaction with a sudden spike in my blood pressure and increased light sensitivity. Having porphyria I know that we can become light sensitive but up until the dilation I was okay. I would like to hear from other people who may have had negative reactions to dilation and anyone who has diabetes or taken the drug Pantoprazole. Thanks, - Helen M
