Guest guest
Dear Roslyn, You asked: " have you read pscyhiatry ultimate betrayal? " No, I have not. I find that the title itself turns me off. To me, psychiatry is a lie, but far from the ultimate lie. On the one hand, I see all illness as " mental illness " and the healing of the mind as the only way to obtain true healing. Now, I see that psychiatry requires a separate patient and therapist relationship, with the patient being judged to be sick and the therapist being judged to be the healer. To me, this premise helps create a situation where healing is made twice as difficult. It starts off with the assumption of separation. Have you ever read " Psychotherapy: Purpose, Process and Practice " ? This is a booklet which is an extension of the Principles of A Course In Miracles. FYI, I find that I am quite insane. One of the reasons I say this, is that I take " magic " pills every day, and I call them blood pressure medication and vitamins, minerals and herbs. I have no sane reason for taking them, other than I have believed a story that there is an " I " that has a body and that that body could become ill and die and that there are " magic " pills that can help to prevent disease and death. Well, I must go. I don't want to be late for my appointment with my therapist.
