Guest guest
> I make shampoo and of course it's too runny so I tried Crothix. Nice and > thick now but how would I explain this ingredient to customers? The simple way is usually the best. Just tell them it is a thickener, that will save you having to give them a science class. The manufacturer describes as follows: INCI name: PEG 150 Pentearythrityl Tetrastearate It is a high performance thickener developed for aqueous surfactant systems. They claim it is a complex high molecular weight ester that is multi-functional. They say it can be used as a thickener, a DEA replacement, and it also lowers the irritancy potential of the surfactant system. Pat. Peace, Joy, Serenity House of Scents tm.
