Paraphilic Coercive Disorder. That's how the new DSM will define rapists. You see, they aren't criminals, they just need long, expensive (and ineffective) courses of treatment that will also keep shrinks employed. The number of conditions has gone from 1 in 1840 to 350 in 2000. The number is likely to shoot up under this new DSM since it includes things like shyness and greiving as serious health issues.

Its just all getting far out of hand. http://www.foxnews.com/health/2012/02/09/shyness-illness-in-dangerous-health-book-experts-say/

Autism is also catching it. Instead of classic Autism and Asperger's, they are now going with and Autism Spectrum Disorder with descriptive sentences afterwards. So, Asperger's might be "ASD with strong language skills and high intelligence." What about the sensory issues and such? why aren't they included in their own sentences? Morons. I think the committee wanted to put their own names in the books to Autism but couldn't agree on who got named for what bundle of symptoms, so this is what they came up with instead. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,2105450,00.html

This one is going to be a nightmare. But what do you really expect when 11,000 people get together to write their own stimulus plan? Never mind what long-term effects it will have on the patients and the nation as a whole, they've got to make up work for themselves.
