Guest guest
I'm just guessing here, but we have seen some crying type spells hitting her head ect on the AL A only and I have wondered if the Mercury is moving out of the brain, because she seems sooo much better, more " here " when it is all over! I think Moria mentioned a while back about her eyes being real sensitive and things kind of moving around, but now they are MUCH better. Can't say anything about the eye dialation since Grace's eye's are almost black and you can't tell if they are dialated or not! ;-) Good Luck! Guest guest
You didn't mention what the dose is that you're using, but I would lower both the ALA and the DMSA until he's more comfortable and give them every 3 hours. My daughter's 8y/o and 40pounds; we just began the ALA/DMSA after 5.5 months of DMSA-alone every 4 hours at 25-50mg 4 days on and 4 days off. Now that we've added the ALA (5mg every 3 hours / 3days on and 11 days off) I've lowered the DMSA back down to 25 mg again (every 3 hours with the ALA) and she's doing very well AND improving afterwards, too. I don't think we need to apply the rule: " No pain, no gain " to our kids. Easy does it is much kinder; they've suffered enough. Guest guest
Thank you for your replies. It is nice to know that after this weekend, there will be a rainbow. (I hope I hope) And, the next dose, I lowered the ALA to @20 mg. and the DMSA I increased a little. He seems to be doing better. At least he isn't having the crying spells now. I'm dreading the " after midnight " doses.
Guest guest
Sounds like using a lower dose next time around would be a good idea. If he is really having a hard time, stop this cycle and wait a while to do it again with a lower dose. Andy > We are on our 2nd day chelating, fourth round, every 3-4 hours with > ALA and DMSA. Guest guest
My son had crying spells for awhile and when I stopped giving him evening primrose oil they seemed to stop. (I think the same thing happened when using borage oil but I can't say for sure.) Has anyone else experienced this with their child? ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
I personally tried evening primrose a couple of years ago, for PMS, I couldn't stop crying so I went off it immediatley, I personally will not give it to my son for that same reason. It made me feel terribley depressed and the crying I couldn't control it.
