Guest guest
Hello, I have been lurking and reading. I would like to ask if anyone can tell me the name of the blood test that gives you, your gnome? Thank You, Ms. A. Never try and teach a pig to sing: it's a waste of time, and it annoys the pig. ------ A. Heinlein Ms. Akasha

BTW, I like little garden gnomes, lol! So, I should ask my Dr. to give me a PCR/RNA test? I had several of them years ago, but I have forgotten what it was and I don't want to go back to that Dr. to find out. Guest guest
You mean Genotype. It is a PCR/RNA Love Janet Gnomes are little garden elves. But I knew what you meant. Guest guest
Well, you could ask for a PCR/RNA test but sometimes doctors don't know what you talking about when they hear doctor-speak from non-doctors. Since you want to know what your virus count and genotype are, ask for that. Guest guest
Personally I think gnomes have been ignored for far too long. I mean, we all have heard that an estimated 4 million Americans have hep c (I forget the world wide figure). But who knows how many gnomes are infected? Does anyone even care? It is difficult though, as they want nothing to do with us. Most only come out at night, in your (their, in their opinion) garden. No one even knows how many gnomes there are, let along how many have HCV. You might wonder where gnomes come from. They come from Nome of course. But they long ago spread out over the world, seeking new and more spacious gardens, with longer growing seasons, etc. They really had no choice, as gnomes reproduce very rapidly, and as we all know, Nome wasn't built in a day! They needed more room! BTW, please do not confuse gnomes with the genome project. Totally unrelated! Guest guest
Yes, Nome wasn't built in a day, but everyone knows, there is no place like Nome. And I don't think Gnomes can get hep c as all Gnome tests for hep c come back GNOME-AL. I started my Sunday by reading the posts on here. Just perusing the posts and then I got to the gnome test. I just want to say thanks for the laugh. You made it a great beginning for the day for me. Have a great day everyone and Happy Mother's Day!! My dogs have found a cure for infected Garden Gnomes. They turn them over and bust them. Dang those dogs.
