Any current laptop has a monitor outlet on the back; simply plug a stand-alone monitor into it, and the laptop will find it. After you get hooked up, you need to right-click any blank area on your Windows desktop and select Properties from the drop-down menu. In the Properties window, select the Display tab (last one), and you'll see the two monitors. Click on monitor number 2 in the display (the remote one) to activate it and check the box at the bottom left for "Extend my Windows Desktop onto this Monitor". Then close that window. Now you should be able, with both monitors turned on, to drag items from the laptop monitor onto the extra monitor and back. In BioExplorer, bring to the fore whatever window you want the client to see and, in the Instruments menu, select Detach. The window will now have its own Instruments menu in the upper left corner, and it will appear on the Start bar across the bottom of your screen as a separate program. Once this happens, you can simply drag the detached window onto the remote monitor, and it will work. I suggest you always remember to drag it back when you end the session, and I generally go to the Instruments menu on the detached window and select Re-Attach, so the program is whole again before shutting down. Can someone explain how I might connect the hardware and configure the software (if necessary) in order to use a second monitor (via a second laptop) to my existing setup? Guest guest
Hi All, You may have seen in the past that I was having trouble getting a good reading using my pendant and that the advice was to purchase active electrodes. Well after much deliberation I made the purchase only to find that I am still not getting the right readings or so I think as the assessment comes out much the same as before I purchased the atifactor and the active electrodes. I washed my hair three times, cleaned my scalp with alcohol and used nuprep. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Tony
Guest guest
tony, would have offered you the same thing as pete, but he was faster than me....however, if you want, send me a couple of bxs-files (with info on what site they were recorded) showing the bad reading and i'll have a look at them as well. best stephan odermatt, switzerland
