Carmen,

Just wondering if you have tried removing dairy? My fibromyalgia was

moderately bad until I took all milk products out of my diet. It took a

week or two to notice the difference, but my aches were much less and I

no longer feel so horrendously fatigued and irritable all the time. My

kids have even commented that I don't scream at them anymore. I believe

others have experienced the same remission of symptoms.

Worth a try?

My fibromyalgia is also MUCH better without dairy products. I can get away with a bowl of ice cream every once in a while, but definitely NOT two days in a row.

Try Soy Delicious (Non-Dairy Ice Cream)! Available at Trader Joe's or health

food stores.

I went gfcf with my kid for moral support, but I cheated a bit.

Me too. Except I just did it because it was easier for all of us to eat that

way, instead of singling Kenny out. I was really surprised when I noti ced the

FMS getting better. Especially because it was really a blind test -- I wasn't

even thinking this would help me.

Then out with the amalgams & in with the DMSA.

Me too.

Now no pain, no tingling, no exhaustion, no trigger points, no

screaming! Am slightly ADD still, but almost pre-FMS memory skills,

and chelation continues. Oh, the FMS weight gain is dropping, too.

Wish I could say this was the case for me too, but I suspect it is becaus e I

am cheating and having ice cream periodically.

Yes, yoghurt, all dairy, would cause a relapse for me, at least pre-

chelation.

Yup!

I can live without dairy,

Don't know how you can do that! <grin>

I'm going to see Dr. Cave for the FMS when we take the kids to see Dr. Ho lmes

in July.

I went gfcf with my kid for moral support, but I cheated a bit.

However, my FMS improved and relapses were milder. When I became

strictly gfcf, I was much better. I added taurine for the IBS

symptoms, more improvement. Then out with the amalgams & in with the

DMSA. Now no pain, no tingling, no exhaustion, no trigger points, no

screaming! Am slightly ADD still, but almost pre-FMS memory skills,

and chelation continues. Oh, the FMS weight gain is dropping, too.

any time soon.

Already did that a few weeks ago. Thanks for the idea.

Don't know. I've never tested myself with yoghurt. I do know I'm

pretty sensitive. I used to nuke those frozen Budget Gourmet meals for

quick lunches, but even the small amount of dairy in the sauces and

mashed potatoes does a job on me. Cheese, icecream - forget it. I don't

know about wheat either. I've reduced it (easy since DS is GFCF), but

have not entirely eliminated it. Maybe if I did, I would be entirely

reenergized, but frankly I don't have the energy ;-).

Certainly worth a try. With that kind of response you might also want

to try two things: checking for sulfur food sensitivity either with a

plasma cysteine test or by trial dietary elimination, and also mercury

detox.
