A couple of years ago I was told that I have celiac.  I am not sure that I

believe this diagnosis but I guess it could explain why I don't absorb very

many vitamins and have to mega dose in order to feel better.  Does anyone else

have celiac?  I do not have the dna for celiac disease.

I do agree with you; we as a group are either deficient or on the low end of

" normal " . The problem is in finding a doctor or nutritionist that will recognize

that our bodies need all the support they can get; we need optimal to high

levels of vitamins, Vit D included, plus minerals etc in order to even function.

Another problem is absorption (sp). I test dangerously low on many minerals and

vitamins, yet I religiously take supplements. My GI system simply can not absorb

them. I live in Indiana, and I'm being treated long distance via a dr in CA. We

are looking for someone local to give me by IV something called a Myers

Cocktail, but haven't found anyone as of yet. In the meantime, I am, like you,

increasing my levels of my supplements, including Vit D, in the hopes of more of

it being absorbed.
