Hey , I have been to the doctors for it. Ihave done the Nexium and am now on stronger stuff twice a day. I have to admit since I have cut backto 4 small meals (about 1 cup in size) , I am not getting it as badly, barely at all. If i haven't eaten by 7.30 at night, then I don't bother. I seemto get it if I eat too much, or if I eat bread or pasta. I think the problem has been tryingto eat normal size meals and I have been fighting my band instead of usingit as the tool that it is.So hopefully back on track now. PS I make my Broc soup the same as you.I saw an Italian chef on TV cook it and its Yumbo Thanks for your reply Nic. Hope allis well with you, certainly seems to be! x " " Sent by: SydBand 11/08/2011 11:55 AMPlease respond toSydBand ToSydBand ccSubject Re: Venting! FiHeartburn is not good... Hiya FiI know its the head battle, we cant believe we have to eat less or smallerportions... but we do, simple as that - now if only the brain would cooperate!I hate wasting food, I hate not being like everyone else... but Im notlike everyone else now - post band, I just am not physically. So hard,I feel so glum about it at times, I just want to jump in and eat deliciousfood and enjoy it without having to worry. But there is a consequence tothat, and its weight. So the part of me that mourns that loss every dayin some way never gets over it, but then I wear my skinny black jeans orput on a dress that is a small size and I realise that this is what I wanted, this was what my band op was for. Yes, sounds like you have crossed the bridge, its time to get real withyour eating and then you will start to loose. No good fighting againstit darls, the buggar only makes you have too much face time with the looas a reward. Life is pretty good - I am enjoying my weight in a way. Still battlingwith the head as it wants me to be smaller - the brain wants to be at onenumber, but I am happy sitting around 65kg... but I drank too many creamydreamy cocktails in Hawaii and I am back up around 70. Thankfully the coldweather (only time you will ever hear me say that) is keeping me soupedand saladed up so I am getting back down to my comfort zone. Keep plugging away Fi. I know its disheartening, but changing the dietcan help to kick start the metabolism and get things moving. When it getswarm (if it ever does) I promise myself to start walking and being moreactive but its so hard not to hibernate right now. I cant even get outof bed before 7am because its too darn cold. Hope the heartburn goes soon - otherwise get it investigated that thereisnt a hernia? Ricoh Australia Pty Ltd ( "Ricoh Australia")This email is private and confidential to the intended recipient. Hi ,I had alot if pain after I was banded. It was to the point where I couldn't even stand up. About 3 days after being banded, I was do uncomfortable and in tears all the time thinking I made the wrong decision. All of a sudden I had the urge to vomit and I tried so hard to keep it down as I didn't want to dislodge my band, anyways I eventually couldn't control it and sorry to sound disgusting but all I brought up was a whole lot of mucus and after that I felt 100% better. Must be something ur stomach produces as a side affect of the band.Good luckRos To: SydBand From: barbara_ndrw@...Date: Sun, 14 Aug 2011 05:44:27 -0700Subject: Re: Re: Venting!

Hi Ros, I don't get any pain with it plus I don't know it's happening till it's all over and somehow I wake up or in the middle of it happening, my doctor told me that the band makes the mucus and that I needed to drink a lot of water which I try to do...but sometimes I drink so much water I feel sick but I still drink it. But I didn't know if this stuff happening of a night while I'm sleeping was normal or not I also have this cough through the night and sometimes through the night and if I'm having what I call a coughing fit I do through up a little bit. Yep try to not eat for at least a couple of hours before bed and ensure you have a bit was water after your meal. Made all the difference to a similar sort of thing happening to me.
