Guest guest
Hi , I would not consider giving a 200C dose here because 1 she is pregnant and 2 if she has an aggravation it could be dangerous and 3 low dose will work well and I feel would be better indicated as dosage. I use iodum 6C BID (Hahnemann lab) with great success on hyper thyroid. Thyroidinum or iodum may or may not fit the symptoms. If that is her TSH, I feel you have room to work with her and make sure she is not getting iodine in her multiple and other stuff, of course. Whittaker, ND Alternative Medicine Clinic Stanwood, WA pregnant & hyperthyroid Hi group,I have a otherwise healthy 32 yo pregnant patient. She is at the end of her first trimester & has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. Her appointment is tomorrow AM, & the only info that I have so far is that her TSH is 0.2.Any thoughts about safe treatments in pregnancy? I'm planning on addressing her predispositions (food allergies, stress, etc...), and will consider Thyroidinum 200C, low dose Seroyal's Motherwort Combo #3 which includes Leonorus, and Medicago (Leonorus is considered a B3 herb, therefore should only be used with caution in pregnancy). What about Hyper-gen?Any other thoughts? Thanks,Dr. Gleixner, NDMoncton, NB-- Dr. Gleixner, MSc, NDNaturopathic Doctor/Docteur en NaturopathieMoncton Naturopathic Medical Clinicwww.monctonnaturopathic.comPh: / Fax:
