Guest guest
Just wanted to report on my experience with a new endo (thyroid, adrenal and reproductive endo) I went to yesterday. Although I'm being treated with Armour and herbal supplements, I wanted another opinion as I think about having a family (next year). Well, I went in with all my previous bloodwork and diagnoses. This doctor does not think that I have adrenal burnout. She did some interesting things that other doctors had not done before--she not only felt my thyroid in the sitting position, but also while I was lying down. She took my blood pressure/pulse while I was sitting, lying and after I stood up. She said that someone with adrenal problems would have different results each time. I just thought it was interesting. Luckily she's right in the hospital, so I went down for my labwork asap. I have to go back on Friday for an hour and a half Cortisol blood test. I've only had the urine/saliva ones. She feels this one is the most accurate. In the meantime she told me to continue on the Armour until the results are in. At this point she thinks it may just be necessary to adjust my meds. What also made me happy was that she didn't flinch when I said I was on Armour. Good news. She was really easy to talk to and I felt she listened...I took Genie's advice and didn't play up the weight gain as one of my main issues. That's about it here...working hard, hating this heat and napping when I can. Hmmm..."Napping When I Can" might be a good title for my memoirs. HeeHeeHee...I really crack myself up! Hugs to all, Hillary
