was distributed in the Midwest in the early 1990s.

with a doctor:

--Anyone who is sick right now with something more serious than a cold.

--Anyone who has had a convulsion or is suspected to have a problem

of the nervous system.

--Anyone who has had a serious reaction to DTP, DT, or Td shots

before, such as: an allergic reaction to any vaccine component; a

temperature of 105 or greater; an episode of limpness and paleness; prolonged

continuous crying; an unusual, high-pitched cry; or a convulsion or other

more severe problem of the brain.

--Anyone taking a drug or undergoing a treatment that lowers the body's

resistance to infection, such as: cortisone, prednisone, certain anti-cancer

drugs, or irradiation.

--Anyone who has had a serious reaction to a product containing thimerosal,

a mercurial antiseptic

Reactions:

If the person who received the vaccine develops a temperature of 105

or greater, continuous crying lasting 3 hours or more, an unusual high-pitched

cry, a convulsion. an episode of limpness or paleness, or a severe problem
