Hi Gerard,

Usually legionella would not be a significant risk from evaporator coils.

However there is always a risk of microbial growth and anywhere that has ponding

should be periodically cleansed and disinfected.

In Australia, we have specifically developed a standard for service and

maintenance of air handling plant with respect to microbial control. AS/NZS 3666

part 4 and this should be read with AS/NZS 3666.1 and SA Handbook 32.
