Guest guest
Hi Gerard, Usually legionella would not be a significant risk from evaporator coils. However there is always a risk of microbial growth and anywhere that has ponding should be periodically cleansed and disinfected. In Australia, we have specifically developed a standard for service and maintenance of air handling plant with respect to microbial control. AS/NZS 3666 part 4 and this should be read with AS/NZS 3666.1 and SA Handbook 32. Hope that this is of some help. > > > > Dear Group Members. > > > > Does anybody have any information regarding the possibility of Legionella > transmission from Fan coil units that are located within false roofs or > split units that are wall mounted during the summer period? > > > > Should the water condensate be collected and tested for legionella spp. ? > > > > Thanks for any input. > > > > Gerard > > > > > > > > > > AnĂ¡lises do Ar Ambiente Lda, > > Urb.
