Turkey is now probably wishing it had let the US invade Iraq from Turkey as the original plan had been. By now the PKK would likely be fighting the Americans, too, must like other groups are in other parts of Iraq and so Turkey might have an ally against them.

Its just interesting about human psychology that some groups want to keep splintering down into smaller units until they are down to warring villages and even blocks within villages. You see that really in all societies. I can understand having more concern about your local area and people you know than elsewhere, but breaking down into separate nations or entities? That's a bit much.
