Guest guest
Dear Hans, I will answer your questions but I have no expectation that you will agree with my answers. I would not have agreed with them either up until about 9 years ago. From reading your posts, it appears that your worldview is very similar to the one I held up until about 10 years ago. There was no one single event that changed my world view 10 years ago; however, my study of A Course In Miracles and then the doing of The Work certainly were the major contributors. Here are my answers for whatever they are worth. You said: " However (laughs, yepp a but coming If it is an illusion that you know how to start the car without being told each time by someone else than yourself, then is it an illusion that you are sitting in the car as well? " SD: For Me, Yes and the garage that I think I keep it in and the dealer that I think I bought it from -- all no more thatn stories I am telling myself. You said: " Where does the illusion of knowing end or start in this case? " SD: It started with a thought of " I AM " and forgetting to laugh at the absurdity of such a thought. It will end with the realization of the oneness of the apparent separate things. You said: " Do we not know how to start a car by simply feeling we do not know it and do it anyway? " SD: We tell ourself a story that there is a car and that we know how to start the imaginary car and then we tell ourself a story that we did it. You said: " Maybe it is an illusion that we do not know anything? " SD: You could be right. Guest guest
I think I understand you very well Steve. It is a dream philosophy as I see it, that all we are experiencing in thought are illusions, like dreaming of course. Do you mean that garage is an illusion because it is just other pieces of the same Oneness put together, nothing more nothing less, and that the digressing thoughts or what have you are the extent? It is to me a very cute way of looking at it, or not looking at it All thoughts are but dreams of illusions, creating a reality for, be it with reason or not. As once said when asked if what she believed was right or wrong, truth or false " So what if it is a lie, I'm living a beautiful dream, why would I want to wake up? " I'm a poet and I have as far as I care to remember been very inspired my dreams but... what if I am dreaming still while not asleep? I can hear a Matrix concept arising in the background, lol. As I said before, I can relate to that way of thinking Steve. Like a chameleon adapts his colors after his enviroment, so do we, but those are called illusions, not colors, still it is all available for questioning... and that is for me the beauty of it all
Guest guest
Dear Hans, I am very favorably impressed with your sense of humor. I love the way that you can discuss these things without getting too attached to who is right or wrong. Thanks for posting here!
