Guest guest
Hi There I finally got revia prescribed today. The doctor wrote a script for 4 tablets at a time (this cost me about $30), so it wouldn't cost very much (nice). It's for my children, not for me. I have a boy 6 with autism and a girl 9 with arthritis. I've split one pill and put it with 25mls of water in a glass medicine jar (this cost me 50cents LOL). Can I ask what the taste will be like (it's still dissovling). Will I be able to syringe 1ml into their mouths at 11pm while they are sleeping? Or will that be too gross for them? Is it possible to do it earlier.. like perhaps 9.00pm while they were still awake? Could I mix it with juice if they were awake? I thought I'd start with 1ml/mg per child for a week, and slowly work my way up in .5ml increments. Has anyone else done the liquid revia with kids? Guest guest
This is interesting .. Naltrexone is soluble in water so make sure you let it dissolve in water .. 25mg Naltrexone to 25ml distilled water is smart to make sure it stays fresh .. if there are lumpy bits left over that would be the filler in the tablet. A 50mg naltrexone pill from revia contains filler .. I think it weighs 310mg. I would start on 1mg LDN and increment slowly .. I think the ideal would be to give it the child orally directly in a syringe. If that is not possible then I would add a little juice to the mix and make sure they drink it all in one go. Guest guest
I have no experience with kids, but the taste is quite bitter; a strong medicine taste. I squirt it in, swallow and chase with a sweet drink. Done this way, the after taste doesn't linger and should so be less offensive to a child.
