NEW TO LDN- have questions

Hello everyone

My name is Nola. I just got my neurologist to fax in a script for LDn, after reading about it and thinking and then getting a pharmacy to fax him some info. I am so excited that he will let me try this. I have some odd type of MS.THe lumbar pucture and MRIs all showed nothing but I have typical MS symptoms and signs and am progressing very fast. I am 49. Symptoms first started about 5 years ago. I am now using a walker but even that is getting too difficult and my doctor has told me that now is the time for a scooter. I can't believe how fast my life changed for the worse.

Anyway I am not on CRAB drugs but have been on prednisone since last December.It made me gain 50 lbs and Im so miserable. I am slowI y tapering of them now .I also am on Paxil. I read that the LDN can have an antidepressant effect- if so I want to get off the paxil too! I am trying to not get too high hopes as I know this LDN doesnt do everything for everyone and some people have had no success at all. But deep inside Iam so excited to be able to jstu TRY something, just to have a chane at maybe getting better.

My question is ..since the LDN affects the immune system should i wait till I've finished tapering off the steroids before I start the LDN or is it ok to jsut start as soon as I get theLDN? You know that steroids depress the immune system somewhat.

I dont know what to do.
