Guest guest
Good afternoon all! I have been treating MS with LDN for about 10 months now. The side effects seemed almost non existent to me for the majority of this time, however about 2 months ago I went up to 4.5 mg's just to boost things a little bit. I started to get a cramp in my right foot when I would awake in the mornings, but I did not correlate this with the LDN until numbness set into the same leg a month later. I thought I was experiencing another exacerbation until I remembered that dosages that were too high can cause stiffness like I was experiencing. I also read that it can result in exacerbation-like symptoms. The numbness has been transient at best, sometimes getting intense, sometimes disappearing altogether. So it definitely does not possess the unwavering quality that all of my other attacks have had. Does this experience coincide with any of your experiences? I REALLY do not want to take steroids, and have been avoiding them for about a month while this numbness has waxed and waned. I thought it might have to do with fillers, but I am pretty sure now that 3.0 is as high a dose as I should take, and have actually dropped down to 1.5 for the time being. I have also elected to take a night off each week which I had not done before. Any advice would be much appreciated! Jon

Dr. Bihari would not suggest that you drop as low as 1.5mg since 3.0mg was working just fine for you and Bihari discourages taking breaks from LDN unless you need a narcotic or surgery. Guest guest
Jon, I too, also went to 4.5 mg in September. I was stiff and was falling a lot which really irritated me. I thought I was going to have to do something at the doc's office about this, but and Althea suggested I drop back down to 3.0 mg LDN. I gave the 4.5 a try for a month and it didn't work went to 4.0 for a week and that still didn't work so I went back down to 3.0 mg 1 week ago and I am already feeling a ton better. They gave good advice and I am thankfull for it. That is my experience with the situation. --- kloetus <kloetus@...> wrote: > Good afternoon all! > > I have been treating MS with LDN for about 10 months > now. Guest guest
I started to get a cramp in my right foot when I would awake in the mornings I had the same, exactly the problem in my left calf. After a week on Magneseun + Cuprum compount it dissapeart, and it was not related to LDN because I had it before I start taking LDN.

Guest guest
Personally, I don't think anyone should take LDN without first looking at the official LDN website: www.low dose naltrexone.org. It specifically says that people with MS who have experienced stiffness/spasticity before or on LDN, should only take 3 mg. Dr. Bihari added this piece of information about six months ago.
