Guest guest
There is one additional point when it comes to avoiding glutamate, and that is the closely related amino acid glutamine. Glutamine is a component of glutathione, and some people with CFS (including myself) have found that supplementing glutamine is helpful at times (especially when in combination with cysteine, for instance NAC, another glutathione component.) However, glutamine is converted into glutamate in a large number of biochemical reactions. So, supplementing glutamine will be increasing the level of glutamate. Yet another reason that each one of us has to try each treatment for him/herself. Jerry
