It depends on the dosage for each individual person. In some people 3.0mg does just fine and in some 3.0mg is not enough. Some have found they can tolerate 4.5mg by alternating it and 3.0mg. They take 3.0mg every other day and 4.5mg every other day. You might try this. I am also seeing many who panic and think their disease is worsening on LDN while they are under stress or have an infection because their symptoms worsen again. Old symptoms will be aggrevated while on LDN if one is stressed, over-taxed, have the flu, cold, allergy, stomach virus, bladder infection or other infections and fever. Guest guest
My compounding pharmacist told me that the best does is between 1.5 mg and 4.5 mg. He said if you take less than 1.5 mg it is not enought for the system but also if you take more than 4.5 mg it will not work for the way we want it to. I am taking 3.0mg myself. I don't know if this helps you but that is what I was told. best wishes, [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN effects: lesions Vs. disability/Joanna>Date: Thu, 20 Oct 2005 00:17:40 -0000>>>--- In low dose naltrexone , "meowbaamooarf" <zeet2000@o...> >wrote:> >> > hi everyone. i've been on 4.5 for a month or so, and i started in> > march or april at 3.0. at first i had abilities that i thought were> > gone forever. but slowly, my disability has been increasing, and i> > cannot say that it is from when i started another dosage. my neuro> > says that on the MRI's the MS is stabile. has anyone had a similar> > experience where disability is progressing but MRI's are stabile? and> > if so, what did you do? best wishes to all.> >> > oh ya. has anyone experienced increased stress or anxiety as the MS> > has progressed?> >> > joanna> >>======>>You might try backing down to 3.0mg to see if that is a better dose for >you. LDN has a hard time working against stress.>>>>>
