Call, Write Congress Today to Protect Medicaid

Today and tomorrow (October 17-18), we are asking Easter Seals supporters to send emails and make phone calls to deliver a clear message to Congress: Protect the Medicaid program and oppose any reduction in benefits. Medicaid provides supports and services critical to the health and independence of children and adults with disabilities that must be preserved.

This first-ever Easter Seals’ Virtual Capitol Hill Day is a national write-in and call-in event to reinforce our presence in Washington, DC. Hundreds of Easter Seals staff and volunteers are carrying this message to their Representatives and Senators as part of Easter Seals’ 2005 National Convention this week.

During the next 48 hours, we ask you to: 1. Send an email to your legislators2. Call both of your Senators and your Representative in Congress

All of the information you need to participate in Easter Seals' Virtual Capitol Hill Day, including an email template, your legislators’ phone numbers and talking points, is provided online with simple step-by-step instructions.

Our goal is to generate thousands of emails and phone calls to Congress during these two days.
