Guest guest
I'd keep taking it, can only help. JMHO of course [low dose naltrexone] LDN and Relapse?? Hey Everyone,I need some advice. I have RRMS and had been trying toget LDN for a year. After many frustrating attemptsand a whole comedy of errors I finally got my drugs inthe mail, just in time for a relapse. I am just over aweek in to a bout of optic neurtis, and decieded I'mgonna take my LDN anyway. I have only taken the firsttwo doses and wonder if I should take the third. Idon't know what to do. Will this cause me harm? Ifanyone has some advice I would really apreciate it.

Guest guest
Bruce, basing this opinion from my own personal experience and many others but foremost, the physiological mechanisms behind which LDN works should alleviate your concerns. I know we have been brainwashed is this society to believe if something which is not mainstream sounds too good to be true, it probably is. They will also go as far to say people have gotten worse or it is dangerous. It is just a bunch of bull----. Call Skip and ask him how many scripts he fills a month and then ask him how many people have been harmed from LDN. Your chances of a bad reaction are so much greater with an aspirin than LDN. The CRABS are so bad for your immune system and so much anecdotal info is out there on LDN now. I was very skeptical at first but have also been on an alternative German therapy for my ms. They have both synergistically worked like a charm. I wish you much success with this protocol. Just don't ask too many of the wrong people what they think. You deserve to give this a chance. It took about 3 months for LDN to really kick in and no further symptoms. Best Wishes, Kathy [low dose naltrexone] LDN and Relapse?? Hey Everyone,I need some advice. Guest guest
Hi; I started 1.5 mg LDN 8/05, I thought I felt better, 9/13/05 I started 3mg LDN, I have notice better bladder control, I seem to sleep better after taking the LDN which I normally take at 11:30 p.m. but, I wake about 3 a.m. wide a wake, is this normal? I'm in a wheel chair, but, I exercise 4 days a week and have a therapist 3 days, she said, she has seen improvement in me since I started LDN, I do walk on the parallel bars, I have been going to her for two years. When I first started therapy I was on Avonex, I had one good day a week, that was the day I was scheduled for my shoot, the last three shoots of Avonex I couldn't even get out of bed for three days, felt like it was killing me so I stopped the shoots, felt better, but now started LDN and doing better. My question is, I spent one month on 1.5 mg, one month on 3 mg, just got my second refill of 3 mg yesterday, does it usually take three months on LDN to see the full effects? I hope to get walking again, I was always a very active person, at least I mowed the yard last night with a riding mower, but need help on & off. Jim [low dose naltrexone] LDN and Relapse?? LDN will not get you up out of the wheelchair. It can reduce your fatigue and pain to allow " YOU " to work like you are doing to HOPEFULLY someday manage to get out of the chair. I got out of my scooter by what you are doing but I did my therapy in the olympic size pool at the YMCA. I went 6 days a week to the pool and walked in the water no lower than my breasts for no less than 2 hours each session for 1 solid year after I started my LDN at 4.5mg. I eventually got to where I could jog in place in the water and later I could run through the water. I now only do pool therapy about once per month due to fuel prices...see, the YMCA is a 50 mile drive one way from my home. I can tell I am not in the pool much because my spasticity has increased again and I'm not as physically fit as I was before. I may have to rob a bank to get back to the " Y " more often. Pool therapy IS the BEST therapy for wheelchair bound and spastic patients. Keep up the hard physical therapy work. If you don't get out of the chair, at least nobody can say you didn't try. But I pray you do get out of the chair. It's not unusual to wake up at that time....your endorphins are multiplying at that hour making you wake. Is there a reason you take your LDN so late? I take mine at 9pm. You do not have to go to bed the minute you take your LDN...I stay up till 10pm or a little later.
Guest guest
Hi Jim, Everyone's body reacts differently. One of our chatters that I have met did get out of the wheel chair the very next day. Sometimes there are miracles. Guest guest
; The reason I take the LDN about 11:30 p.m., because I rarely go to bed before, I have taken it as late as 3 a.m.. I have hurt my lower back from the home farm and riding snowmobile, I was referred to a back specialist, he said there is a chance he can help me walk, I will be seeing him again 10/27/05, then the decision will be made what to do. May with the LDN and back surgery I may walk, I just can't picture myself in a scooter the rest of my life.
