Guest guest
Hi Everyone .. Sincere thanks for all of your replies and good wishes for my husband Noel (PPMS). Noel continues to thrive. I think he is even stronger to be honest .. I know I don't baby him anymore. He exercises now on a three wheeler nightly and it has made a huge difference. Tonight he has not used his cane around the house even once. Granted our house is small and I think he should avail of his cane .. but that is a big improvement. He started ldn 4.5 mg sept 2002 and has not progressed (read the book Up the Creek for the full story .. I know .. shameless plug but trust me unless Oprah bites there will be no LDN cruise) .. Seriously .. on the Autism front though this is interesting .. what concerns me is that the etiology scientifically unknown .. but what gives me hope is that it could very well be autoimmune .. here is a very convincing clip to say that it Autism could well be autoimmune .. All the very Best http://www.whale.to/v/singh.html Autism is an idiopathic brain disorder, which simply means that the etiology of the disorder is not known. And there is no single, clear- cut cause for autism. Causally speaking, I tend to think that autism is a complex disorder, in which autoimmunity to brain plays a key role. Today, in spite of virtually no funding available, autoimmunity is the most extensively investigated topic of research in autism.
Guest guest
Hi -- I understand autism may have multiple causes. Are you aware that one of them could be Lyme disease? If you are interested in checking this out further, I suggest going to www.lymenet.org and clicking on Flash discussion and then Medical questions. You can also do a search there on autism. There was a conference held in Irvine Ca in June on Lyme and autism. -- RobinGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.
