Guest guest
Hey, fellow pathetic MS'ers - I'm new to this board and I'd really like to try this low dose naltrexone. In 20 years nothing else has helped me for cronic progressive. Maybe someone could clue me in about a few things. I gather you can get naltrexone (Revia) from MedsMex in a 50 mg quantity without a prescription. If you go that route then who does this compounding to get it to a 1.5 to 4.5 mg dose? I gather that if you get it from certain pharmacies they do the compounding, but then a prescription is required. So, say I call my Veterans Administration neurologist and ask her to mail me a prescription - my first thought is they won't know what I talking about and consequently won't have a clue as to dosage or even giving me a prescription. If so, is there some sneaky way to get a prescription? Then, how would anyone have a good guess as to what dosage I should try? Thanks - Hans
Guest guest
Ask for 4.5 MG, to be filled in 1.5 MG capsules, to be taken once, after 9pm and before 3am, daily. Then you can take either 3.0 or 4.5 each night. If you settle on 3.0, each 4.5 script will last longer. If you get it from MedsMex or any other 50MG tablet, you need to make your own doses of powder or liquid. Check out http://goodshape.net/HomemadeLDN.html for more info. Be sure to get your script compounded by one of the reputable compounding pharmacies listed on the LDN website, they will mail you your order. http://www.low dose naltrexone.org Here's a link below to tell you how to order ReVia brand Naltrexone from Mexico and the mixing instructions are included in the same post.
