Guest guest
Marcie or Anyone, Are you also taking daily LDN? How much? I'm also having optic neuritis/vision problems. I'v been taking LDN only two weeks now, and I've been on 3 mg for two days now...still working my up to 4.5 mgs. Or to whatever ends upworking out best for me. (How do you really know that for sure?) I was diagnosed this July with MS after R optic neuritis/stiffness/tingling in legs, although I had L optic neuritis in Dec 03. (MRI showed lesions then, bit spinal tap was completely normal/negative.) I also turned 40 in January, so I'm not sure if it's an age thing or an MS thing with my eyes. Thanks for any suggestions you can give me. marciemjm@... wrote: Elio, I take 25mg DHEA & 30mg Pregnenolone every day. Have for 4 years. I believe that the anti-inflammatory properties have restored my vision and kept me from having another Optic Neuritis flare. It is NOT a miracle. It was slow to work. After 6 months I could see improvements. Now my vision is near normal. Marcie
Guest guest
, Just make sure you go to the eye Dr. and get checked out! My husband started seeing funny-kind of dark, like a film over the eye and we sadly assumed it was the MS, which has been dormant for over a year because of LDN. After he visited the eye Dr. he found out that he had a torn retina and they had to do emergency surgery, just last week. Evidently it is a common problem in people that are very near sighted. He seems to be recovering nicely and never stopped taking his LDN. We are so grateful that the LDN is still working! Guest guest
. You ask: How much? Dr. Bihari suggests 4.5mg for women I'm also having optic neuritis/vision problems. I'v been taking LDN only two weeks now, and I've been on 3 mg for two days now...still working my up to 4.5 mgs. Or to whatever ends upworking out best for me. (How do you really know that for sure?) See above. I was diagnosed this July with MS after R optic neuritis/stiffness/tingling in legs, although I had L optic neuritis in Dec 03. (MRI showed lesions then, bit spinal tap was completely normal/negative.) I also turned 40 in January, so I'm not sure if it's an age thing or an MS thing with my eyes. It is likely that it is an MS symptom. Go to a good health food store andget "Lutein" and "Bilberry", inexpensive supplements that are good for your eyes. It will also be very helpful to get "EPA" that is an essential fatty acid that is beneficial and has anti-inflamatory properties. Regards, Tom Thanks for any suggestions you can give me. Guest guest
, definately get te eyes checked but do yourself a favor......check side effects for any meds you may be on. I had a terrible optic problem and had my eyes checked....only to get glasses.....then 2 weeks later my glasses didn't work anymore. come to find out it was the detrol I was taking. It is a common side effect. a lot of meds with this type of effect say, " Those with glaucoma shouldn't take this medicine. " Which covers a lot of meds that are used for urinary situations. A lot of people don't realize they may have a symptom called 'narrow angle glaucoma' I had never heard of it but it seems that was the root of the problem....with me at least. Now I take my ldn...stay away from 'dry eyes' eye drops and I rarely need my glasses. --- KELLY E COBURN <bonsai4jesus@...> wrote: > , > > Just make sure you go to the eye Dr. and get checked > out! __________________________________ - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http://mail.
