Guest guest
Dear Ann, Okay, I only went to rehab for a day, but here's my two cents. Rehab is after a normal hospital stay, and by then you are ready to leave that hospital garb behind. I'm not a pajama girl( just hate them), so I invested in a lot of comfortable cotton nighties, and that was my uniform till I was out in public. Now alot of girls here swear by silky pj pants, for ease in getting in and out of bed, and I'm sure that would be of help, except I hate that feel on my skin. I also had a huge peri-menopausal outbreak right after surgery, and hot flashes were awful, even when sleeping, night sweats etc. So having my cotton nighties were great, what I like, and what I wore. When I felt like dressing, I wore sweat pants and a big t-shirt. Also know a lot of us loose weight after surgery, so sweat pants can be gathered, a good benefit when you go down a size or two. Know at rehab I expect a lot of what you will be doing besides healing is work to get you ready to be mobile at home, so comfy clothes, would be a must while doing all that hard work, and several changes of that. [ ] rehab Hi all. Time is passing so quickly. It seems that I saw Dr LaG. just last week, but it was May 11!I have some questions for anyone who has gone to rehab right after surgery. I read that silky p.j.'s are great once you get home but I am wondering what to take for rehab. Seems like the first time I had surgery I couldn't stand to have anything touch my back for some time. In hospital I wore hospital gowns and at home I wore silky gowns. Short because I get twisted in long gowns. I'd appreciate any info you might havce. Thanks,Ann
